Baltimnore, MD - Sept.  12, 2025 - Members and supporters of conservative youth organization Turning Point USA are mourning the death of the group’s founder, Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot at a speaking engagement at a college in Utah on Wednesday.

Kirk was a close ally of President Donald Trump, who announced the 31-year-old activist’s death in a post on Truth Social. Trump wrote that “no one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”

In 2013, Kirk started Turning Point after dropping out of Harper College in Illinois when he was 18, and the organization quickly grew into what some described as “the dominant force in campus conservatism.”

Debra Lea, a conservative influencer and commentator, told The Baltimore Sun on Wednesday that Turning Point created a safe space for her and other like-minded students on campus while she was attending the University of Maryland, College Park.... Read More: FOX45
