Agudath Israel of America is devastated by the horrific antisemitic terror attack last night when a man killed two employees of the Israeli embassy as they were leaving the AJC Young Diplomats reception at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. We offer our heartfelt prayers for the victims and their grieving families.
Since the October 7th Hamas massacre, antisemitism has surged across the country. This attack is a chilling realization of the calls to “globalize the intifada”— a slogan that has been disturbingly normalized, especially on college campuses, a call for nothing less than the hate-filled, cold-blooded murder of Jews, young and old, around the world simply because they are Jewish.
We are grateful to President Trump and his administration for their swift and unequivocal condemnation and commitment to ensuring the safety of the Jewish community, and to the Department of Justice, FBI, and local law enforcement for their rapid response. We urge that the perpetrator be swiftly brought to justice and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
