Jerusalem, Israel - Jan. 28, 2026 - The 2026 International Conference on Combating Antisemitism brought global leaders, policymakers, academics, legal experts, media figures, and activists to Jerusalem for a multi-day series of discussions focused on confronting antisemitism in all its contemporary forms. Events took place at the Jerusalem International Convention Center (Binyanei HaUma), drawing a wide range of international participants and audiences.
The conference was initiated by Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli and was widely attended by senior Israeli officials and dozens of international guests. Programming was designed for targeted audiences, including policymakers, academics, media professionals, and influencers, with an emphasis on global cooperation and confronting emerging threats.
The official opening gala marked the launch of the conference and brought together Israeli leadership and international dignitaries.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the gala, framing antisemitism as part of a broader ideological threat facing Israel and Western democracies. He also spoke about the recurring vulnerability of Jewish communities throughout history, particularly during periods of societal change.
Minister Chikli emphasized a shift in focus from antisemitism as a Jewish issue alone to a broader global challenge, calling for international cooperation and a more proactive approach in confronting extremist ideologies.
The primary conference sessions were held at Binyanei HaUma on January 27, coinciding with International Holocaust Remembrance Day, under the theme “Generation Truth.” Discussions focused on countering denial, distortion, and digital-era misinformation, while strengthening international dialogue and cooperation.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog was the opening keynote speaker.
Speakers and panelists included:
Algorithms of Hate: How Does Social Media Shape Gen Z Attitudes Toward Jews
The Right’s Crossroads: Antisemitism and the Far Right
Lital Shemesh, news anchor and journalist at Channel 14, Israel, was the moderator.
