Baltimore, MD - Aug. 20, 2025  - There has recently been a surge in oil and gas production thanks to President Donald Trump's pro-energy policies.

The National News Desk’s Jan Jeffcoat asked former White House economic advisor Steve Moore to compare what the U.S. is seeing now under Trump vs. the Biden administration and former President Joe Biden’s anti-fossil fuel climate policies.

Energy is a big issue where these two presidents took diametrically opposite approaches,” Moore told Jeffcoat during a one-on-one interview Wednesday. “Trump is into, as you called it, ‘Drill, baby, drill,’ and we’re seeing some of the fruits of that.”

Moore said the major U.S. Department of Energy statistical division just came out with numbers, showing the nation will reach an all-time high in oil and natural gas production in America. He said that’s great news because it creates a lot of jobs and more energy independence for the U.S., with the department saying that gas prices will fall to below $3 per gallon by the end of 2025.

And that’s good,” Moore said. “Now, some areas of the country already have $3 per gallon, but some of these states, like California, are still paying $4 or $5 per gallon. So, that will be some relief at the gas pump.”
