Baltimore, MD - Feb. 3, 2026 - Another ground stop was put in place Tuesday at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

A BWI-Marshall spokesman told WBAL-TV 11 News that a short-term airfield closure was planned for Tuesday afternoon that was coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration.

This comes a day after the FAA issued a ground stop at Baltimore's airport after airport personnel identified a localized pavement failure at the intersection of the airport's two primary runways. The runways were temporarily closed Monday night to safely complete repairs.
