US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he is “in no rush” to talk to Iran, even though the Islamic Republic is hoping to engage in discussions with the United States.
Speaking to reporters in Washington, Trump said, "They would like to talk. I'm in no rush to talk because we obliterated their site," a reference to the US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites last month.
His comments come a day after Iran's foreign ministry announced that it has "no specific date" for a meeting with the United States regarding its nuclear program.
The announcement was made by foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei, who stated that no specific date, time, or location has been determined for a possible meeting between top Iranian and American diplomats.
He accused the...

Baltimore, MD - July 15, 2025 - Baltimore’s federal delegation gathered in City Hall Monday to highlight progress on some of the city’s longest-running struggles, such as lowered crime rates, fewer vacant properties and reductions in overdose deaths.
But the successes were overshadowed by recognition that actions from the Trump administration could disrupt future progress in those areas.
“It’s great to be here with the best federal delegation in the country,” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott told reporters after a meeting with some of Maryland’s top Democrats. “Especially right now as congressmen across the country are voting to raise costs and strip them of their basic rights and needs, and we are grateful to have this team fighting for us.&r...
Baltimore, MD - July 15, 2025 - As state workers begin applying for the Voluntary Separation Program, a cost-cutting measure implemented by Governor Wes Moore's Office, data shows thousands of employees won't be eligible for it.
To help balance the budget and deal with the Maryland's deficit, state officials are working to make $121 million dollars in personnel cuts, as required by the latest budget. To do that, Governor Wes Moore's Office has implemented a hiring freeze, has plans to eliminate vacant positions and has also started the Voluntary Separation Program. The VSP allows eligible state employees to leave their position with a lump sum of $20,000, $300 per year of service and six months of health insurance.
"I think it'll help get them there, but it...
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee called on Israel to “aggressively investigate” the killing of Saif Musallet, a 20-year-old Palestinian-American man, whose family alleges was beaten to death on Friday by Israeli settlers in the West Bank
“There must be accountability for this criminal and terrorist act. Saif was just 20 years old,” Huckabeee wrote in a Tuesday X/Twitter post.
Huckabee’s statement comes after Mussallet’s family called on the US State Department to investigate the incident.
“This is an unimaginable nightmare and injustice that no family should ever have to face,” the family of Sayafollah Musallet, also known as Saif, said in a statement. “We demand the US State Department lead an immediate investigation ...
President Donald Trump on Tuesday said consumer prices are lower and that the Federal Reserve should lower interest rates.
"Consumer Prices LOW. Bring down the Fed Rate, NOW!!!" Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
The president said in a separate post that the central bank should lower rates by three points.
"Fed should cut Rates by 3 Points. Very Low Inflation. One Trillion Dollars a year would be saved!!!" he wrote.
Trump's posts came the same morning that the Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest inflation data, with its consumer price index (CPI) showing prices increased in June from the prior month.

The U.S. economy grew at a faster pace than expected at the beginning of 2024 as consumers continued to open their wallets despite ongoing inflation and high interest rates.
Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of goods and services produced across the economy, grew by 2.8% on an annualized basis in the three-month period from April through June, the Commerce Department said in its first reading of the data on Thursday.
That is much higher than the 2% increase forecast by LSEG economists and the 1.4% pace seen during the first quarter.
"The U.S. economy is much stronger than people realize and to the extent that markets were worried about a growth slowdown, they should breathe a sigh of relief after this morning’s GDP number," said Chris Zaccare...
Israel is currently seeing unprecedented steps on both sides of the issue of forcing haredim into service. Haredi parties have repeatedly threatened to boycott coalition votes, or even to dissolve the Knesset, if a total exemption for Yeshiva students is not written into law. UTJ MKs have begun tendering their resignations from government positions, and Prime Minister Netanyahu has begun holding intensive rounds of meetings in an attempt to keep the coalition together.
The IDF, for its part, has recently declared a large-scale recruitment operation among haredim, issuing tens of thousands of draft orders and expanding enforcement against evasion of service.
Haredim are not so estranged from Israel's security forces as one might believe, though. The deaths of five soldiers from the h...
US President Donald Trump asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky if Ukraine could hit Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to a report published today (Tuesday) in the British Financial Times.
The report claims that these remarks were made during a phone call between the two on July 4. According to two sources familiar with the details, Trump asked, "Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow? Can you also hit St. Petersburg?" Zelensky replied, "Definitely. We could if you give us the weapons."
Trump indicated his support for this possibility, explaining that the goal of such a move would be to "make the Russians feel the pain" and force the Kremlin to enter negotiations.
This move marks a sharp departure from the position Trump has previously presented, in which he committed to ending th...
Significant progress was made this evening (Tuesday) towards reaching a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, according to a report by Channel 13 News.
According to the report, based on sources involved in the negotiations in Qatar, "the path to an agreement has been cleared." The indirect talks between the parties have been ongoing for more than a week and a half in Doha, Qatar's capital, and in the last 24 hours, significant progress has been made following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Cabinet's decision to approve additional flexibility regarding the IDF's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
Israeli officials emphasized that this would only be a temporary withdrawal, lasting 60 days, after which fighting is expected to resume once the ceasefire ends. Acco...
In light of the Syrian regime's massacre of Druze residents and Israel's retaliatory strikes, Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, is calling on the government to take a firm stance.
"Israel must intensify its strikes, including against official regime targets in Syria, until the massacre of the Druze community ceases," said Dagan.
He added, "This is an ethically significant statement—one that also carries a crushing strategic security message: Israel is a regional power capable of protecting its loyal partners."
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited today (Tuesday) along with Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich at the Hashmonaim Brigade base in the Jordan Valley.
During the visit, the Prime Minister met with the battalion's soldiers and spoke with them. He then heard from the battalion commanders about the activities of the battalion and the training of haredi soldiers, tailored fully to their lifestyle.
"I have now met both the commanders and the soldiers, and it is uplifting to see. You see young haredi men coming here, enlisting, and becoming excellent soldiers. They were already in Gaza and fought admirably. Unfortunately, some of their friends in 'Netzah Yehuda' fell last week," said Netanyahu.
He also addressed the draft law and noted, "We are in a great struggle, and we ...
Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli stated that Israel cannot "stand by" in the face of the killings carried out by the new Syrian regime and called for the elimination of Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara.
"We must not stand idly by in the face of the Islamist-Nazi terror regime of Al-Qaeda in a suit and tie," Chikli wrote on X in a post in which he shared two videos of the attacks on minorities in Syria.
"Anyone who thinks Ahmad al-Sharaa is a legitimate leader is gravely mistaken — he is a terrorist, a barbaric murderer who should be eliminated without delay," Chikli stated.
"We saw the horrific massacre of the Alawites, met with deafening silence from European leaders, and now we are witnessing the slaughter and humiliation of the Druze. The terro...
IRS Proposal Could Let Houses of Worship Endorse Political CandidatesMaryland – July 15, 2025 – (MM) A new IRS proposal is drawing attention for its potential to reshape the line between religion and politics. The rule would allow houses of worship — including shuls, mosques, and churches — to openly endorse political candidates from the pulpit without risking their tax-exempt status. The change stems from a proposed settlement that softens the longstanding restrictions under the Johnson Amendment, which has barred 501(c)(3) religious organizations from direct political endorsements for decades. Supporters of the new rule argue it affirms free speech and religious freedom, while critics warn it could politicize sacred spaces and erode public tru...
Baltimore, MD - July 15, 2025 - The city has experienced a 34% decrease in auto thefts compared to the same period last year, according to the latest police data. Despite the drop, some in the insurance industry say car-related crimes continue to drive up insurance rates.
Drico Hill, an insurance agent with 17 years of experience at the Baltimore National Insurance Network, said, "It's one of the biggest claims when it comes to insurance." Hill said that crimes such as car thefts and break-ins can result in millions of dollars in costs, which are ultimately passed on to policyholders.
"Claims are so expensive," Hill said. "There was a time when you got your car broken into you only had to essentially pay for a window. But with these cars nowadays, they have so many safet...
